Some of my fondest memories as a child was when my grandparents would care for me as my parents went dashing off to work for the day. Days were spent mostly with my Grandpa who was an artist and musician. We would work out in the garden, tending to the variety of bounties and then harvest loadfuls when ready. I still get nostalgic as I reflect on the wheelbarrow rides to get firewood and sitting in his lap while he painted in his art studio. 

Frank Altamura was a man of days gone by: always calm and collected and incredibly focused, so much so nothing could distract him. He lived his life knowing there was a reason to get up in the morning. He had purpose, talent and a passion throughout his life and that was in his art. Grandpa pursued what he loved, and became incredibly talented at it. My admiration for him has never faded, and in fact has become the inspiration to where
I’ve arrived with Art in Building.
